Hub rappers assailed for 'Kill Bill O'Reilly' single

Theres nothing surreptitious around the message of Boston rap trio East Coast Avengers new single.

In Kill Bill OReilly, the lyrics call for the Fox News star to be hanged like Benito Mussolini and differently killed.

(NOTE: Associated mp3 contains strong speech not worthy for children or the faint of heart.)

The strain is causation outrage - and non just among admirers of right-wing personality OReilly. (Hear it at bostonherald.com. Warning: not recommended for children or the faint of heart.)

The lyrics ar so utmost that even OReillys fiercest media enemy, TV initiate Keith Olbermann, has condemned the East Coast Avengers.

Gentlemen, Im the last person to discord with you on the chicken hawk, lying coward, sexist, racist, needs a face-lift, whore stuff, but you really need to re-cut this track, Olbermann aforementioned addressing the Avengers last week on his MSNBC show Countdown. Nobodys life should be threatened, non even in the exaggeration of the moment. Beside, you ar rappers. You have better ethics than Bill OReilly does. Live up to them. Dont live down to him. Word to your mother.

Olbermann was relatively friendly compared to button-down columnist Michelle Malkin, wHO is besides threatened in the song. She came out swing on her blog.

Do they have anything better to do? she wrote. Rides to pimp? Hos to insult? Bling to steal?

The East Coast Avengers - Esoteric, DC the Midi Alien and trademarc - are taking the criticism in stride.

My email and MySpace [website] have been acquiring frequent destruction threats, Esoteric aforesaid in his first interview since the controversy erupted, and they all get about a D-minus in grammar and spelling.

A lot of the conservatives reacting have us pegged as black, and theyre talk about how we shouldnt get reparations, he said, noting that the three Avengers are all white. I find it frightening that a song like this can bring out that stereotypical reaction to hip-hop.

Rather than back down, the Avengers ar, well, avenging. Soon subsequently Malkin insulted them, the group cut a response dart titled Dear Michelle.

Sample verse: Michelle girl, I dont want to mix up you/I know youre off OReillys show, that dont excuse you/from being a conservative, neo-Nazi hack of a journalist thats wrong all the time and dont deserve to live.

So far, OReilly has yet to acknowledge the sung dynasty, but the Avengers believe Fox News was creditworthy for acquiring the X-rated Kill Bill OReilly removed from the groups MySpace page. MySpace and Fox are both owned by Rupert Murdochs News Corp. [NWS]

The freshly formed Avengers, who adapted their nominate from a Marvel amusing, rap most a change of topics, often focalisation on politically charged issues. The groups upcoming October release, Prison Planet, targets everyone from Dick Cheney to WTKK-FM personality Jay Severin.

Esoteric, wHO over the past 10 has sold tens of thousands of CDs and toured the world extensively, says that Kill Bill OReilly has attracted more attention than any of his prevous rhymes. In todays humans, that may be all the justification needed for recording such a deliberate provocation.

L'Oral: We Didn't Lighten Beyonc. Honest.

Looks canful be deceiving. Apparently.

Yesterday, a new print ad for L'Oral Paris' Feria whisker color surfaced, featuring a seemingly paler than usual Beyonc Knowles. Today, the French cosmetics giant is adamantly denying that it gave its longtime spokeswoman a vitrine of the Michael Jacksons.

"Beyonc Knowles has been a spokesperson for the L'Oral Paris steel since 2001," the company said in a assertion to E! News, after coming under withering on-line attacks suggesting the ad (on right, above) lightened more than just the hair colouration of the brand's illustrious face.

"We highly value our relationship with Ms. Knowles. It is categorically out of true that L'Oral Paris altered Ms. Knowles' features or skin-tone in the run for Feria's hair color."

A rep for the 27-year-old Knowles declined to comment beyond the L'Oral statement.

The ad is appearing in this month's Elle, Allure and Essence. So far the magazines have not said anything about possible Pantone issues.

In any case, color us embarrassed.
